Tim, founder and driving force behind T&J Construction Ltd., is an entrepreneur whose career reflects resilience, strategic vision, and a deep commitment to innovation in the construction industry. From humble beginnings to multi-provincial operations and leadership in energy-efficient building, his journey is one of steady transformation guided by purpose and adaptability.
T&J Construction Ltd. was originally founded in New Brunswick by two brothers, Tim and Joe, who shared a dream of building a successful construction company. In 1993, recognizing that their long-term visions differed, Tim made the pivotal decision to purchase Joe’s share of the business. This defining moment gave him full leadership and the freedom to shape the company according to his long-range goals for growth, quality, and innovation.
Under Tim’s direction, the company evolved rapidly. What began as a business focused on renovations and smaller projects expanded into large-scale commercial construction, including grocery stores, commercial buildings, and other complex developments. His strategic approach allowed the company to enter new markets while earning a reputation for reliability, craftsmanship, and professional excellence.
In 2005, following a life-changing event, Tim made another transformative decision: relocating the company’s head office to Prince Edward Island while maintaining operations in New Brunswick. This move strengthened the company’s regional presence and deepened its involvement in local communities. Tim prioritized building relationships, collaborating with businesses, and contributing to infrastructure development, positioning the company as a trusted and influential partner in both provinces.
Always attentive to industry trends, Tim expanded the company’s services into windows and doors in 2008, opening a dedicated showroom to provide customers with hands-on product selection and comprehensive building solutions.
Recognizing shifts in the marketplace, he later aligned the company with Castle Group in 2012. This strategic partnership enhanced purchasing power, broadened access to premium materials, and strengthened the company’s competitive position—reinforcing Tim’s commitment to delivering superior value to clients.
As the industry continued to change, Tim led another phase of transformation. Facilities were modernized, operations streamlined, and services expanded to meet evolving customer expectations. New showrooms, expanded storage capacity, and a lean, collaborative organizational structure allowed the company to remain responsive, efficient, and customer-focused.
Tim’s most defining modern initiative is the development of T Net Zero Construction and Building Solutions. This venture represents the next chapter of his leadership—placing energy efficiency, environmental responsibility, and sustainable housing at the center of construction practices. Through T Net Zero, Tim champions forward-thinking building methods that reduce environmental impact while improving long-term performance and comfort for homeowners and businesses.
Today, Tim stands as a respected leader whose career reflects determination, adaptability, and forward vision. From taking sole ownership of a growing construction firm to building a multi-provincial presence and advancing sustainable housing solutions, his work demonstrates an unwavering commitment to excellence.
His legacy is defined not only by successful projects and business growth, but by a continual drive to innovate, serve communities, and shape the future of construction—making energy-efficient and sustainable building a cornerstone of his life’s work.

Maia’s formative years were spent in a home built by famed Canadian architect Ron Thom. Visits to properties in Toronto’s Forest Hill and Rosedale neighbourhoods, and trips further afield to the Laurentians and Barbados cemented her appreciation for elegant architecture and beautifully executed spaces. A graduate of McMasters multi-disciplinary Arts & Science program in Hamilton Ontario, Maia took a brief detour into law school on the west coast before finding her niche in design. She graduated with honours from TMU's School of Interior Design and completed her BCIN, LEED AP, and NCIDQ designations before founding Black Sheep Interior Design. With an approach that is as creative as it is rational, Maia’s design sense is fueled by sun-filled travels. Whether diving in the Caribbean, mini-breaking in Miami or resting up in cottage country, she loves to soak up the materials and aesthetics of get-a-way destinations. She is also a dedicated volunteer, proudly combining her love of design and philanthropy through a variety of charitable endeavours. Maia is a member of ARIDO and the IDC.

I am from the Stratford area and have worked as the Office Administrator for Johnson Engineering Consultants Inc. (JEC) for over 20 years. Johnson Engineering Consultants is a longtime member of the Stratford and Area Builders Association (SABA). I also sell real estate for Shackleton's Real Estate & Auction Co. Ltd. I have always had a lifelong interest of home renovating that began when I was young. I always loved to help my dad with numerous DIY renovating projects. Following in my dad's footsteps, and throughout my life, I have not lived in a place “where the table saw didn't go first”. The complete restoration of an 1850's abandoned stone home as well as the current restoration of my 1860's fieldstone home situated on a 100 acre farmstead are some of my most favourite projects! My career choices both at JEC as well as Shackleton's have given me the opportunity of seeing all types of construction projects come to life from conception to completion.
